Q: What do I need to bring in for my pet?

You will need to bring:

  • your guests C5 Vaccination to be sighted by staff
  • Any medication that your pet is on

Q: What type of vaccinations does my pet require?

For dogs we require a minimum of C5 vaccination. Vaccinations have to have been given within the preceding 12 months. All guests must be vaccinated a minimum of 14 days before their stay.

Q: What if my Dog Becomes Unwell?

We work in close association with our local vets. We would use this vet for any routine issues. We also have a 24 hour vet service available. Should your dog show any signs of incapacity we will immediately seek professional veterinary assistance. We will keep you informed of developments utilizing the emergency contact telephone number you provide, and if necessary, will arrange for your dog to be housed in the Vet's hospital.

We can, if you prefer, utilize the services of your usual Vet, but if this is not possible our Vet can certainly communicate with yours. On your return we will ask you to reimburse us for any costs incurred in providing this care for your pet.

Q: Is there a minimum stay over the peak periods?

Yes. Over Christmas holidays our office closes on the 23rd of December and reopens on the 3rd of January. Over Easter the minimum stay is five days.

Over peak periods you will be asked to pay for your pet’s stay at the time of drop-off. If you pick up your pet before the scheduled pickup date the fees for the remaining days are not refundable.

Outside peak periods there is no minimum stay requirement. For dogs we do overnight or even day-stays if you just need your dog looked after for a short while.

Q: Do you require a deposit to confirm a booking?

Yes. We will require a deposit to confirm all bookings.

Q: What methods of payment do you accept?

We take Visa, MasterCard, EFTPOS and cash for all dog minding.

Q: I would like my dog to be groomed whilst he is boarding. Can this be arranged?

Here at All Breeds we use a selection of external groomers. Please contact us to discuss this option.

Q: What sort of exercise will my dog get?

Dogs are exercised multiple times throughout the day regardless of weather conditions. At All Breeds, dogs run out in social groups. Your dog will spend time with dogs of similar size and temperament while under close supervision of an experienced member of staff.

Q: My dog loves to play with other dogs. Can he be exercised with other dogs?

Yes, socialisation of dogs is what sets All Breeds apart. We love to see compatible dogs mix and play together. Of course we supervise all interaction.

Q: I have more than one dog. Can they be roomed together?

Yes, dogs from the same family are welcome to share a room.

Q: What food do the dogs get?

We have chosen to use Prime 100 Chicken and Vegetable loaf and Royal Canin dry food. These ingredients work simultaneously to improve your pets digestion and cleanse the pets bowel. This sustainable food gives your pet the energy required to maintain weight while boarding. This is carried out as guests can be up to 3 times as active.

If your dog has special dietary requirements you are welcome to bring it in.

We have other feeding alternatives such as Big Dog Barf.

Q: How are the kennels cleaned?

Every occupied room is fully disinfected then pressure-washed and dried every day. This all happens while the dogs are out having their morning playtime. All food and water bowls are washed and disinfected every day. Vacated rooms and all bedding are disinfected when a dog goes home.

Q: Do I need to bring anything along with my dog?

At All Breeds dog kennels, we provide all bedding, bowls etc. Dogs must arrive at the kennels on lead. The only requirement is that you bring your pets' vaccination certificate and any special food or medication with you.

Q: When can I inspect the dog boarding kennels facilities?

We highly recommend inspection of boarding facilities particularly if you have not boarded your pet before. Across Melbourne there is a huge variety of accommodation types and quality and a broad range of costs. You are welcome to inspect our dog kennels by appointment. Please contact our office if you would like to book an inspection. Please Note: that inspections are not available on public holidays and school holidays.

Q: What should I expect when taking my dog home?

Dogs staying more than three days will receive a hydrobath prior to their departure at a bath fee indicated on our dog boarding page. We ask that you arrange collection before the close of office hours listed above. Just as it will have taken time for your pet to adjust to our boarding kennel surroundings, it will similarly take a little time to settle back in at home. As life in the kennels is very busy it is completely normal for dogs to be quite tired when retuning home.
